Fair Lawn All-Sports is Proud to Present the STARS Program for Spring of 2024 (Starting 4/6/24 through 6/1/24) for Children with Special Needs ages 5 to 15 featuring the sports of Baseball and Track
What is unique about this program?
Fair Lawn All-Sports, in conjunction with the Fair Lawn Access for All Committee, has established a sports program to help enrich and promote an active lifestyle, good sportsmanship, a higher sense of self-esteem and help improve overall social and physical skills.
How does the program work?
We will have small groups of players who will be led by a host of enthusiastic coaches as well as volunteers from the Fair Lawn High School and All-Sports community. We will make every effort to maintain a high ratio of coaches to players. By providing a high ratio we intend to foster a love of learning a new sport through positive development and successful progress. All of our coaches and volunteers have received instruction in the fundamentals of the game.
When will we play?
We will play on Saturday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 at the Dobrow Sports Complex on Harristown Road for Baseball and at Sasso Field on Romaine Drive for Track. We will split a portion of our Spring Season starting off with learning T-Ball/Baseball skills and then moving to work on our Track skills.
What ages can play?
The program is open to children ages 5 to 15 years old. We will group the players by age and/or ability.
How much will it cost?
The cost is $25 per player.
